TEXASBOARS FERAL HOG ABATEMENT
FREE HOG REMOVAL and STOP DAMAGE MANAGEMENT
TEXASBOARS is world recognized as well as world renoun!
I (Kevin Ryer Owner of TEXASBOARS) SPECIALIZE IN the CONTROL, REMOVAL of DEPRADATING FERAL SWINE.
I AM NOT JUST ANOTHER HUNTER PULLING STRINGS or trying to con my way to some free hunting!
Due to the overwhelming costs due to the rising price of GAS and CORN my srvices are at their LIMITS! ALSO, I no longer provide services to individauls with small pieces of property (less than 10 acres). As an alternative I have provided INFORMATION to help answer questions on how individuals can handle invading feral swine on their own on small pieces of property. This information is posted below ENTITLED ""ABATEMENT and MANAGEMENT OF FERAL SWINE"".
My services are offered to those who are a suffereing a TOTAL INVASION and DESTRUCTION beyond just a few visiting animals. When you're ready to DECLARE WAR because you can't even leave your house, or your crops are being DEVASTAED, I AM THE PERSON TO CALL!
ABATEMENT and MANAGEMENT of FERAL SWINE
READ THIS BEFORE YOU START TRAPPING
I want to make one point, if the reader gets nothing else but this one point, I feel I made a difference. In regards to FREE ROAMING FERAL SWINE (for the following statement only) they pose little to no risk to humans and their pet's what so ever even if they're invading your neighborhood and parks, or even your own yard. It is only when they become HABITUATED do they (free roaming feral swine) pose an INJURY RISK. HABITUATED, would be when the animals no longer show fear to mankind. HABITUATED, if you're feeding the animals and they willfully and voluntarily stay and eat in your presence, your playing with FIRE!
DON'T FEED THE ANIMALS! (in urban or residential areas - smile)!
The feral hog population has been ignored for way to long! As a result the population has exploded and is now turned into an all out WAR! Out of DESPERATION and not much thought, the public is being MISADVISED! In this regard we need to step back and THINK about the unintended consequences in our attempts to try to take back our yards, our residential neighborhoods, and even our parks and school yards where we've been invaded!
When it comes to trapping, there is some VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION that needs to be published, that to date, is being completely ignored! Trapping is being promoted as a type of sporting recreation OR a useful tool for amateurs who have feral hogs showing up on their property. In some situations NOTHING could be further from the truth. For amateurs with no experience traps are generally a total waste of money and in some cases represent DAMAGES way beyond some rooted up grass.
I feel, that is a survey were to be conducted of BEGINNER trappers, the vast majority never catch a hog and wind up spending (or wasting) a ton of money based on the advise of amateurs who have no idea of what they're dealing with or how to deal with it.
Trapping is an important useful part of management in the hands of a professional in the PROPER SETTING. In the hands of a rookie, in the wrong situation, it's going to lead to some serious unintended consequences!
TRAPPING FERAL SWINE IS NOT for everybody, not only that, but in certain cases shouldn't be used at all, not even by so-called or self-proclaimed professionals! Self-Proclaimed Professionals are usually nothing more than the average hunters who are desperate to get in on this growing SPORT RECREATION. We have tons of folks dying to get in on the action who have absolutely no knowledge how to deal with large potentially dangerous animals that pose a serious risk to life and limb.
We have states and municipalities all over the northern parts of this country that have trained professionals that KNOW how to manage dangerous animals in urban environments. We should look at their history of SUCCESS and FAILURE before AMATUERS start advising the general public to do something that could get them, or an innocent bystander including a child, maimed or even killed.
My specialty is not only feral hog management but also RISK ANALYSIS. In urban environments TRAPS turn what is an otherwise harmless situation into a FLAT OUT COMMUNITY HAZARD! Texas, along with other states in the south and southeast are ignoring what our counterparts in the NORTH have been dealing with for a lot longer than us. For example the proper means and methods to deal with BEAR and moose who stray into neighborhoods and urban environmants. BOTTOM LINE, -> You don't "piss off" dangerous game in an URBAN SETTING! You don't FEED dangerous animals in urban areas, ETC, ETC. You just don't INVITE them in (by ignoring the problem) and then, when they become a nuisance, start "pissing them off" in our attempts to trap and kill them in the wrong places.
SO, in the discussion of feral hogs, we need to start providing the public with some real information on how to deal with the issue rather than presenting only the DRAMA and SPORT RECREATION portrayed by TV as well as many of our state and local officials. Because the REALITY is, they can be very dangerous when DISGRUNTLED ;-) Just may be, that the person who disgruntled the animal won't be the person receiving the ride in an ambulance to the emergency room to get a "few new holes" stapled up.
I'm not advising we leave them alone and do nothing, but when otherwise not "pissed off" they represent no more threat than a coyote or a deer walking through a yard at night as opposed to an INJURED animal in the FIGHT or FLIGHT mode trying to make an escape through multiple yards. When threatened these animals can and will attack, and they posses formidable weapons to inflict some serious injuries.
To get a good look at what somebody might be dealing with look at the attached photos:
So, rather than taking a risk at placing animals in atttack mode in urban areas, we should start taking a serious look at ALTERNATIVE METHODS to make it UNDESIRABLE for feral swine to VISIT urban areas. Look at POPULATION REDUCTION/ABATEMENT in the RURAL AREAS where they RESIDE and BREED and are less likely to come in contact with children and innocent bystanders while the "dirty work" is done.
It is not difficult to stop or deter feral swine from VISITING yards, parks, housing developments, schoolyards, parks, and other urban settings in search of food. Leave that responsibility to TRAINED PROFESSIONALS! One of the real problems Texas is faced with is, we need more TRAINED PROFESSIONALS to deal with these invaders PROPERLY in urban areas. That is the hard part along with proper ABATEMENT and MANAGEMENT where they live and breed, which is almost always RURAL wooded and drainage areas. That's where the DANGERS of abatement and removal should be taking place.
SO here's my WARNING to those individuals in residential areas, rural housing developments, and urban settings! DON'T PISS OFF THE HOGS! There are ways to DETER the animals! For example;
à AIR HORNS to scare the animals.
à FIREWORKS to scare the animals.
à Motion sensitive pezio alarms available from most big hardware and lumber stores also from Northern Tool and other ON-LINE Stores.
à STOP FEEDING THE HOGS. Remove wildlife feeders if they are attracting unwanted feral swine.
à Clean up areas where the animals can take refuge. Remove food water and shelter as resources they would use for survival.
à NON-LETHAL measures from trained officials of the city and county municipalities to remove the invaders from parks, residences, and schoolyards.
à Hogs are smart; they will generally stop visiting areas where these tactics are used.
When these tactics fail consider the construction of PROPER FENCING or other obstructions.
We shouldn't advise a resident, who has no experience, to take on a BEAR, nor should we be advising people with no experience to start taking on FERAL SWINE, because pound for pound both are equally as dangerous when they're in a BAD MOOD ;-)
IN general, this is the type of information the public at large should be receiving! Including MEANS and METHODS of DETERRING feral swine from visiting populated areas. ALONG WITH means and methods of ABATEMENT/MANAGEMENT (population control) for rural landowners such as ranchers and farmers. RECOMMENDING or SUGGESTING TRAPS for the public at large, as a removal method in whole, is a MISTAKE and IMPROPER ADVICE for MANY if not MOST.
Allow me to explain what sets me apart from average Joe looking to grab some free hunting. I AM A SPECIALIST with 20 YEARS EXPERIENCE in which I have become a well known removal expert by developing highly specialized techniques and tools of the trade. I have become well recognized for developing and inventing highly specialized TOOLS OF THE TRADE for the NIGHT TIME REMOVAL of depradating hogs. I custom build my own specialized tools which sets me apart in the field of hog removal. MY SPECIALTY IS removing wild hogs that are eductaed specialist at avoiding hog traps along with avoiding and evading the crosshairs of experienced hunters. I am experienced at taking on and taking out the large groups of wild boar that can inflict large amounts of damage in one night.
I can put and end, a QUICK END, to SEVERE PASTURE DAMAGE on RANCHES as well as offering ALL OUT CROP PROTECTION. Landowners can trust and depend that they along with their property and livestock will be respected and safegaurded with the OLD SCHOOL RULES of HONOR AND ETHICS that have long been recognized by a honest handshake!

If you are a rural resident, landowner, farmer, or rancher that is "CURRENTLY SUFFERING SEVERE DAMAGES" from DEPRADATING FERAL SWINE, (wild boar wild hogs piney woods rooters) call me NOW - (KEVIN at 903 848 7075) and I can help!
I CAN SUCCESSFULLY and RELIABLY PUT AND END TO IT!
I ABSOLUTELY will NOT damaged or trash out your property! PERIOD! The landowner makes the rules and I respect those rules.
THIS OFFER IS FOR SEVERE DAMAGE ONLY to PROPERTY OWNERS or OWNER REPRESENTATIVES (person who leases the land).
I can and do work in coordinating effective hog removal with commercial hunting operations and private hunting clubs.
CATTLE ARE NOT A PROBLEM!! I can and and have removed large numbers of both wild hogs as well as coyotes from pastures occupied by cattle! Cattlle pose absolutely no problem for me nor will I make it a problem with the landowner. I have specialized my operations to a art! Just as trained and highly specialized sniper can take purp from a crowd,, I can take pest from herd of cattle with absolutley no risk to the animals. I DO NOT SHOOT CATTLE OR PETS, these are the things that set me apart. I make sure that my operations pose little or absolutely no inconvenience to the landowners and no risks to their property and livestock! PERIOD.
I (Kevin Ryer - TEXASBOARS) DO NOT BUY SELL OR TRADE FERAL SWINE. This service is NOT a commercial or business service. This is simply my way of volunteering needed help and relief to residents and landowners from the relentless unforgiving destruction delivered by a prolific invasive species that has evolved into the ulutimate survivor!
NO CHARGE, NO FEES, NO TRASH, NO DISRESPECT, NO LIABILITY, and NO RISKS!
I operate on a limited basis, with a detailed and specific set of management techniques that does require some cooperation and assistance from the landowner. The assistance is outlined here, #1 The property owner calls me and reports damage along with the location of the damage #2 I respond to that request by "SETTIING UP" the location ASAP and killing the hogs causing the damage. THE END.
If you would like to see my work in action here is video footage recorded during the regular process of removal
TAKE NOTICE, none of these wild hogs have a CLUE I AM BOUT TO REMOVE THEM!
